Receiving Credit for Exams

To request your AP official transcript, please visit College Board’s View Your AP Scores webpage.
In order to evaluate/transfer your AP/IB courses, you must request a transcript credit evaluation from Registration and Records.
Types of Exam Credit
- Advanced Placement: Washington state community and technical colleges will grant a minimum elective credit for an Advanced Placement (AP) score of 3 or higher. Credit will be awarded on the basis of official AP results, not transcript notation.
- Cambridge International: Washington community and technical colleges will grant a minimum elective credit for each Cambridge International Examination (CI) for A-level exam with a passing grade or above for approved examinations. Credit will be awarded on the basis of official Cambridge International Examination results, not transcript notation. Duplicate credit for the same subject taken on different exams will not be granted. No grades are posted for A-level exams.
- International Baccalaureate: Washington community and technical colleges will grant a minimum elective credit for an International Baccalaureate (IB) Higher Level (HL) exam score of 5 or higher. Credit will be awarded on the basis of official IB results, not transcript notation.Credit is awarded for International Baccalaureate (IB) “Standard” (S) and “Higher Level” (HL) examinations with the scores 4, 5, 6, or 7.
