RC 242 - Respiratory Care Therapeutics III2 Credits
The lecture course is designed to continue the theoretical approach of patient assessment and therapeutics. The course is to be taken simultaneously with the lab component. In this course, the application and concepts of Non-invasive ventilation, Electrocardiography and Advance airway management will be introduced.

Recommend electrocardiograph evaluation when appropriate.
Interpret normal and abnormal cardiac function on electrocardiographs.
Evaluate the need for an advanced airway
Apply the appropriate advanced airway in routine and special circumstances.
Recommend appropriate tools used for gas analysis in liquid and gas based on the measurement condition
Evaluate the need for Non-invasive ventilation based on patient presentation, assessment and diagnostic data
Use non invasive ventilation techniques to improve ventilation in patients with pulmonary disease
