This course is designed to introduce the fundamental principles of Patient Education and health promotion. The focus is on patient teaching and the RCP’s role in a patient’s quality of life. We will focus on assessing a patient’s health literacy and readiness to learn as well as providing outcomes-oriented patient teaching to achieve a specific therapeutic or quality of life goal for patients with cardiopulmonary disease.
