ART 200 - Industrial Design: Introduction to 3D Modeling Software5 Credits Learn the fundamentals of using 3-dimensional modeling software in fine arts applications to create a variety of sculptural forms. This beginning-level course introduces students to the fundamental tools and best practices for planning and creating 3D models using digital tools. Students will work through various exercises throughout the quarter and learn hands-on strategies for envisioning, assembling, and evaluating sculptural forms using 3D modeling software.

Student Learning Outcomes Create basic 3-dimensional sculptural models using 3-dimensional modeling software.
Use appropriate tools and apply design terminology in each phase of the creative process. This includes critiquing work using appropriate design terminology, then applying critique feedback to revise and improve work.
Create and edit 2-dimensional drawings, 3-dimensional models, and documentation drawings.
Create files suitable for prototyping.
Utilize the diverse capabilities of 3-dimensional modeling software to create presentation drawings.
