Program Description
This program will equip students to be exposed to creating good quality content needed by technical staff as well as end users. Numerous job areas include technical documentation, specifications writer, user documentation, marketing and sales literature, learning and training materials, and technical editors. In order to carry out these tasks students should be knowledgeable in numerous aspects of information technology technical tools coupled with communication and writing skills. Jobs with these skillsets will fall under Technical Author and Technical Writer.
Learning Outcomes
- Be able to articulate technical code into clear concise readable form
- Be able to demonstrate understanding of various technical languages/diagrams and designs
- Demonstrate understanding of computer hardware, Networking
- Understand and demonstrate various web based technologies
- Be able to deliver technical code into a presentable format, be it written/graphics, and/or animation
- Show a clear understanding of editing other authors work
- Utilize numerous tools to convey and communicate across to various levels of people
- Communicate both verbally, and in written form
Important Notes

- Students must achieve a minimum 2.0 GPA in each core course to attain an AAS degree.
- Not all classes are offered every quarter or at night.
