The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Cybersecurity Operations prepares students for high-demand roles in defending and securing digital infrastructure. Learning Outcomes
- Analyze and apply foundational topics in information security, digital forensics, and incident response.
- Deploy, test, and evaluate common technologies, host types, and architectures.
- Perform digital forensics, security analysis, and incident response using common technologies.
- Analyze electronic evidence and use cyber skills to identify a conclusion that can be confirmed using standard or accepted forensic science techniques.
- Automate management and security technologies with scripting and application programming interfaces.
- Demonstrate proficiency with common IT tools for security work including auditing, vulnerability management, and testing tools.
- Perform gap analysis to determine the effectiveness of security controls and create controls for remediation.
- Effectively use technology to identify resources to solve network and operating system issues, troubleshoot problems, and remain current in the technology field.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders, both in speech and written documents.
