The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Cybersecurity Operations prepares students for high-demand roles in defending and securing digital infrastructure. This program blends technical expertise with investigative skills, training students to identify system vulnerabilities, mitigate cyberthreats, and respond to security incidents in real-time. Learning Outcomes
- Analyze and apply foundational topics in information security, digital forensics, and incident response.
- Deploy, test, and evaluate common technologies, host types, and architectures.
- Perform digital forensics, security analysis, and incident response using common technologies.
- Analyze electronic evidence and use cyber skills to identify a conclusion that can be confirmed using standard or accepted forensic science techniques.
- Automate management and security technologies with scripting and application programming interfaces.
- Demonstrate proficiency with common IT tools for security work including auditing, vulnerability management, and testing tools.
- Perform gap analysis to determine the effectiveness of security controls and create controls for remediation.
- Effectively use technology to identify resources to solve network and operating system issues, troubleshoot problems, and remain current in the technology field.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders, both in speech and written documents.
