Selected programs of study at Highline College are approved by the Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board’s State Approving Agency. WTECB/SAA for enrollment of those eligible to receive benefits under Title 38 and Title 10, US Code.

Chapter 35 and 31 students may still enroll even if the 85% has been realized.
The formula Highline College uses to convert quarter credits to semester credits is: Divide quarter credit amount by 1.5.
Examples: 3 quarter credits / 1. 5 = 2 semester credits.Semester credits: 180 quarter credits are equal to 120 semester credits (180 * 1. 5 = 120). Semester credits are converted to quarter credits by multiplying the credit amount by 1. 5. Examples: 2 semester credits x 1. 5 = 3 quarter credits; 3 semester credits x 1. 5 = 4.5 quarter credits; 60 semester credits equal 90 quarter credits (60 x 1. 5 = 90)
All of Highline Colleges programs that require an externship/internship, clinical/practicum are relevant to the respective program of study. Each externship/internship, clinical/practicum is done through a designated qualified instructor at a location that is under agreement between the student, the site location and Highline College. Students can use approved locations provided by Highline faculty or look to the community to create a place that will fulfill the requirement of the intended externship/internship, clinical/practicum.
