Assessment - basics:
- Evaluating respiration (VT, f, VE, VC, peak flow)
- Blood pressure measurement
- Pulse assessment
- Auscultation of the chest
Pulmonary function Testing:
- Use of the spirometer
Oxygen cylinders & piping systems
- Cylinders usage & safely
- O2 delivery devices
Hospital Safety & Patient Comfort

The above units will be covered in a modified self-paced format, utilizing the instructor as facilitator and evaluator. The units can be covered in any order.

The student will be able to accurately measure: BP; VT; VC; peak flow; pulse rate; breathing frequently
