R C 453 - Critical Thinking Skill Dev & Prep for TMC Exam5 Credits   The course is designed to provide an opportunity for students to establish or advance their understanding of the TMC national credentialing exam content and identify areas in which additional study is necessary. Foucs will be on applying knowledge through use of case studies.

2. Evaluate procedure results 
3. Recommend diagnostic procedures 
4. Assemble and troubleshoot equipment 
5. Ensure infection control and perform quality control procedures 
6. Maintain a patient airway including the care of artificial airways 
7. Perform airway clearance and lung expansion techniques 
8. Support oxygenation and ventilation  
9. Administer medications and specialty gases 
10. Utilize evidence based medicine principles 
11. Provide respiratory care techniques in high risk situations 
12. Assist physician/provider in performing procedures 
14. Initiate and conduct patient and family education
