Small Business/Entrepreneurship, Certificate


Entrepreneurship offers many benefits, including the opportunity for independence, creativity, and financial potential. As an entrepreneur, you have the freedom to be your own boss, make decisions that shape your business, and pursue your passion. The ability to innovate, solve problems, and create something new can be incredibly fulfilling. Additionally, successful entrepreneurship can lead to financial rewards and multiple income streams. This certificate program provides the foundation skills needed to become a small business owner/operator.

Program Outcomes


  • Analyze a business product or service idea for viability in the marketplace and understand the process of planning, preparing and implementing a business plan.
  • Implement a sales and marketing process.
  • Maintain and protect basic business information systems and accounting records.
  • Interpret and use oral instructions to complete assigned tasks. Speak clearly and produce written documents for a diverse group of customers and coworkers utilizing current business terminology.
  • Employ workforce readiness skills, including problem solving, organizational planning and time management.
