This certificate helps you start your career in Early Childhood Education; this course helps you to work wtih Early Learning Setting. In addition, you will learn about establishing nurturing, culturally sustaining, supportive relationships with young children and professional peers.

  • Engage in establishing nurturing, culturally sustaining, supportive relationships with young children and professional peers.
  • Describe equitable health, safety, and nutrition standards for young children in group care.
  • Explore foundations and theories defining early childhood education including issues, trends, best practices, and program models.

Program Notes


  • Not all classes are offered every quarter. Talk to a faculty adviser.
  • You have to earn a grade of 2.0  in each required class to apply it to a certificate or degree
  • Education coursework older than 5 years may not apply. General Education credits will be accepted regardless of age.
