R C 421 - Advanced Topics in Ventilator Management 5 Credits This is the 2nd course (of 2) in ventilator management in the intensive care units. Advancing assessment skills are emphasized to include patient- ventilator interaction, hemodynamic monitoring, oxygenation optimization strategies and ventilator management based on disease process and best practices. Strategies with ARDS are focused on with students gaining insight to lung protection.
