ABE 63 - ABE Math 55 Credits To aid adults who need instruction in beginning algebraic skills in order to pass the GED tests, improve college math placement scores, or achieve other educational or career goals. Instruction is delivered in a variety of formats including lecture and group activities.ABE Math level 5 is equivalent to CASAS scores between 236 and 245.

Content will be delivered in a lecture format and group settings.
Student Learning Outcomes Number Sense: work with rational numbers in a variety of forms, and use equations to solve real-world problems involving ratio, rate, and proportion.
Algebra: generate and solve expressions and equations, including real-world scenarios and radicals, exponents, and linear equations
Functions: define, evaluate, and compare functions to model relationships between quantities
Geometry: name geometric figures and be able to measure and calculate area, surface area, and volume and use the Pythagorean Theorem.
Statistics and Probability: calculate mean, median, mode, range and absolute deviation.
Use transition skills appropriate to ABE 5.
