CSCI 100 - Survey of Computing5 Credits General survey of the capabilities, limitations and problems associated with computers. Students develop basic computer competency. Covers basic terminology of computer systems; personal security while online; relationships between hardware and software; data representation and organization; basic web page development, and introductory programming and problem solving. Covers use of applications in the business environment, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software and database software as well as Internet, e-mail and Web fundamentals.
