NRSG 114 - Culturally Responsive Nursing Care

3 Credits


Vital to the foundational principles of nursing, this course exposes students to concepts of providing responsive care to patients/persons of diverse cultural, ethnic, and/or social backgrounds. Students will explore the role of the nurse in caring for diverse community members and discuss strategies to recognize barriers to health. Students will be prepared to recognize and begin to overcome health disparities among marginalized and diverse populations.
